Bucktooth Tetras (Exodon Paradoxus)

Bucktooth tetras are aggressive, predatory fish that demand experienced aquarists and specialized tank conditions. These striking silver fish, named for their prominent teeth, reach 2-3 inches and thrive in groups of 6+ within 55-gallon minimum tanks. They require warm water (75-82°F), excellent filtration, and live plants for cover. Feed high-quality carnivorous diets including small fish and meaty foods. Their fin-nipping behavior makes them unsuitable for community tanks—keep only with similarly-sized, robust species.
