Natural habitat

Originating from Colombia / South America, Brilliant Rasboras are tropical freshwater fish that thrive in well-oxygenated environments. In the aquarium, they naturally settle into the midwater, forming synchronized swarms that create dynamic movement across the display. Their color and confidence grow with a stable, peaceful community setup.

Temperament

Peaceful and non-territorial. They do best in groups, with color and behavior showcasing their full potential when kept in schools of 6 or more. Gentle by nature, they coexist well with other small, non-aggressive species.

Diet

Omnivore that appreciates variety. In home aquariums, they readily accept quality flakes and micro pellets. For enhanced color and vitality, offer occasional live or frozen foods such as daphnia or brine shrimp.

Compatibility
