Twig Catfish (Farlowella Acus)

The Twig Catfish is a peaceful, armored fish known for its slender, stick-like body that provides excellent camouflage. Its body is protected by bony plates, and it has a brownish color with two dark lateral stripes, while males can develop long odontodes on their rostrum for breeding. These catfish grow up to 6 inches and feed primarily on algae, biofilm, and detritus, which they rasp off surfaces with their mouth.
